Yet another set of outstanding results for Scott Endurance athletes. All that training continues to pay off, good work guys.

The day commenced with the Pro Tour sprint with great performances from Bree Jones and Elyse Foster. After a solid swim Elyse had time to make up on the bike to catch the lead pack, which she did with an amazing ride which was the 2nd fastest, heading her out onto the run with the leaders and finishing a commendable 7th in 1.12.28. Meanwhile Bree put in a superb consistent effort finishing in 4th place in much more mature and experienced company and sees her take the lead in the series pointscore, what a great effort and these girls continue to perform.

Ashley Thomas clearly won the 18-19 category in the sprint tri having placed 1st in each leg. Her positive commitment to training is clearly paying off. Matt Blackwell had a strong performance in a shorter than normal distance for him, with a time of 1.19.01 taking 8th in the 40-49 category. Mark Malloy also took home some silverware, placing 2nd in the Clydesdale category of the sprint event.

In the Olympic distance the Scott Endurance green was everywhere with Greg Lavelle having his best race yet finishing in 2.06.56 having had the fastest swim and bike in the 25-29 category. The ever present Alex Ball, however  ran Greg down in the last few kilometres to take out 1st place in the category in 2.05.38 having the 3rd fastest run time of the day. This placed Greg 2nd in the category and both guys well in the top ten on the day.

Also joining the guys in the top 10 was Ben Bell continuing on his winning way in the 35-39 category in 2.06.58 with the fastest swim and run times, an outstanding effort. Ilyas Musker, after having a fantastic bike time which was the 9th fastest on the day, just pipped out coach Mark Scott with 2.13.08 and 2.13.32 respectively to both take out 4th place in their categories and both being happy with their performances at this stage.

Erin Hargraves had yet another fantastic race and further proves that she is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of triathlon. In a time of 2.19.33 she came 2nd in her category with the 4th fastest female time overall on the day which included the fastest run time.

Newcomer to this distance Rob Cazzolli had a good race despite fighting off cramps in the run to finish in 2.30.14 with Pete Roope having a good race he was pleased to finish top 10 in the 45-49 age group in 2.32.07.

The evergreen Bob Scott placed 2nd in the 55-59 age group 2.40.04 thanks to a good bike which was over 5 minutes faster than anyone else in the category. Cathy Tulloh did a 2.44.10 after a good run to finish first in her category and was closing on Bob. Hugh Gilberg finished 2nd in the 60-65 category with a very pleasing 2.54.56. Smiles all round, well done guys.
